Boston Stump

I like Boston Stump for several reasons, it is a great piece of architecture and has a special identity by being called a stump instead of church or cathedral.

I also like how I can walk through Boston city centre with the stump nowhere to be seen and then suddenly everything opens up and the stump appears towering over everything around it.

The stump dominates the landscape as Lincolnshire is very flat and can be seen from quite a fair distance away. I see it as an iconic landmark in the county of Lincolnshire. Just be careful if you climb to the top as it can be very windy up the steep staircase!
